As per a decision undertaken by the UGC, 105 universities in the country are starting 4-Year UG Programmes from the new academic session.
The University Grants Commission (UGC) has released a draft curriculum framework for the Four-Year Undergraduate Programmes (FYUGP). Universities and colleges will now offer 4-year undergraduate degrees with multiple exit and entry options.
This programme was supposed to be implemented in all higher education institutions from the academic session 2022-23 but has now been planned for this academic session. The new structure to be introduced is according to the National Education Policy, 2020, and will overhaul the three-year undergraduate curriculum that was being implemented for more than three decades.
