12 Kg Suspected Ganja Seized At Guwahati Railway Station

 

GUWAHATI: Officers from Guwahati Government Railway Police Station (GRPS) seized 16 kilograms of suspected ganja from two accused individuals during a routine check at the Guwahati Railway Station on Tuesday, April 30.

The seized substance is believed to be contraband intended for illegal distribution. Following the seizure, necessary legal action was initiated against the accused.

Earlier on Monday, GRPS officers seized 12 kilograms of suspected ganja from an accused individual during a routine check at the Guwahati Railway Station. In a separate operation on the same day, officers from the New Bongaigaon Government Railway Police seized an additional 3 kilograms of suspected ganja from an accused person during a check at the New Bongaigaon Railway Station.

Legal proceedings had been initiated in both cases as well.

The Government Railway Police, Assam has been conducting checks and inspections at railway stations as part of their ongoing war against drugs.
